How to Make Easter Bread in a Bread Maker
In addition to your Easter traditions, you may want to begin making Easter bread the day before so that on the morning of Easter, the family can partake in some Easter bread. As its already hot in South Louisiana, why not make it in a bread maker? The Breadman bread maker is a most handy tool for the gluten-free person to have. The Easter bread is slightly sweetened with honey and sugar, and has the most welcome aroma floating around the kitchen.

Easter Bread Recipe
Ingredients:- 1 1/2 cups scalded milk (I used dried milk powder)
- 2 packages yeast
- 1 cup rice flour
- 3/4 cup soy flour or bean flour
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1/2 tapioca flour
- 1/4 potato starch
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons anise seed
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 3 heaping tablespoons dried egg whites
- 1 1/2 tsp xanthum gum
How to:
- Scald your milk.
- Let cool to warm then add 2 packages yeast and 2 tablespoons honey.
- Let sit till foamy for at least one hour.
- In a large bowl, place all flours inside and mix well.
- Add the salt, sugar, dried egg whites and anise seed.
- Add the scalded milk with yeast and mix well.
- Add the coconut oil and mix well.
- Lastly, add the xanthum gum and mix well.
- Add enough water to make proper consistency of a thick batter.
- Pour into bread maker and set on 3 hour setting.. Yum! Enjoy!
